Oh my goodness - I am sure the whole family has great memories and stories. My best wishes to you all. In 1969-70 I was a high schooler working in a ski shop in Pittsford NY. I wanted us to get into XC skis and John came down to visit and teach. What a kind and generous man! He invited me up somewhere for an informal clinic and I learned enough to talk our shop owner into a first order. We sold out by Thanksgiving and ordered again.
