What a beautiful Obituary about a man who had a life well lived and a beautiful family. I loved learning about his connection to Marquette University and his wonderful career. Indeed, he was a good writer and a wonderful father. I remember seeing his in his garden and now he occupies a precious garden for eternity.

Anne- I'm happy to have known both your mom and your dad as we grew up together. Both were good examples and raised a beautiful family over the years. I'm deeply sorry for the sadness his loss will bring to you and your family.

John not only hired me at Ace Hardware Corp. (back in 1991) but, he was also a great mentor and leader. He believed in his team and showed us nothing but respect and professionalism both in and out of the workplace. As many people know, his journalistic abilities and instincts were spot on. I thank him for sharing his gift of the written language.
