Jack- Your standard of care for patients and their families and impact as a teacher/mentor still resonates . You are missed physically but the memory of all your contributions to patients, families and care givers is strong. Larry/L Wolff

Jack- Your example and legacy of excellence in health care and advocacy for the patient and the family shines in the many care givers that had contact with you. Larry/.L Wolff

I was so very fortunate to know Dr. Campbell first as a medical student and then for 20 years as a colleague at OHSU. He was an excellent surgeon, clinician, teacher and patient advocate. He cared deeply about his patients. I didn't know of his many other professional accomplishments when I worked with him; he just did them efficiently. He was a tremendous asset to OHSU and his fellow faculty.

Jack and my husband, Dr. James P. Hamilton, were the closest of friends from medical school on for years. I saw Jack only a couple of times but was always impressed with him as a fine person and friend.!! Grey Hamilton

Our deepest condolences and prayers to the whole family. Dr. Campbell was such an impressive doctor and family man -- many fond memories of his dry wit, and of how he was always great during our high school years about welcoming us kids into the Campbell home and on trips to the beach and other family activities. He left a huge imprint; a great man who shall be missed.

I am truly saddened to learn of Dr. Campbell's passing. I was very fortunate to have him as my surgeon nearly 50 years ago. He had a tremendous impact on my life and I will always be grateful.

Susan and all the family... my prayers for all of you for comfort and grace. Jack was as fine a man as we´ve known. I loved being with you in your beautiful home along with my Jay, who had such great respect for Jack. We especially loved going fly fishing with him on the Mackenzie River and watching houseboats floating down the river next to us in the rain. We were freezing and praying for enough fish, which Jack later cooked for us on shore after we stopped. One of the best fish dinners we...

Dr. Campbell was my favorite!! As a pediatric nurse at Doernbecher Children´s Hospital, I had the privilege of working with Dr. Campbell for almost 20 years! He was kind and caring and had a deep respect for nurses. I loved doing rounds with him and his team and always learned so much from him! He definitely made a difference in the lives of so many children and their families. I have thought of him often over the years with fond memories and always wondered about him. You were all...

I met Jack and Susan when I became a Tax Manager at Arthur Young in approximately 1976. From that time till I recently retired, Jack and I worked together as his Tax CPA and Consultant. I will never forget our annual meetings when we would finish with the detail work and Jack would always ask, "how are you doing". He always showed a personal interest in me and my family. Jack, Susan and his family were tremendous to work with over these many years and I'm sorry I never made it to their home...
