When I first met Grandpa John I loved seeing how happy he made my Grandma A. I met John when he was helping with AWANAS at the Baptist Tabernacle in LaJunta. He drove a 65 or 66 Mustang that was painted a metallic green and for a Mustang, it was pretty nice. I can remember running around LaJunta with him during scavenger hunts....what a great time! Our friendship grew over the years, and John was always the same.
