Dr. John Canfield

Today as I was discussing my very odd looking foot damaged from a motorcycle accident I had in 1976, that has miraculously bore me through life all these years, I thought of the man who performed that miracle for me so many years ago at Holden hospital which is no longer there. He jokingly named me crash and I spent many months with him rebuilding a part of my body which thanks to him is still there. He was a great doctor and a great man.

We were so sorry to learn of your loss! The Spring 2018 Nativity Newsletter brought us the unwelcome news. We so enjoyed seeing you both at the 50th reunion, and hoped we would get together again sometime. I am so sorry for your loss. I will always miss you here at VIM. Jack was such a wonderful man and he even tried to help my son when he ruptured his leg muscle in NY. A very compassionate man. I hope that you are still at St. Gregory the Great.
