Entered Eternal Life on September 24, 2024, at the age of 77. Loving father of the late Marianne Lee Proegler. Proud grandpa of Krista (Will) Gonzalez, Emily, Amanda (Anna) Vigneau, Sara Lee, and great grandpa of Andrew and Alora. Dear brother of the late Frank Proegler and the late Rosemarie Proegler. Partner and longtime companion of Michael Ward. Further survived by his cousins, including Chrissy Booth, Katy Prepodnik, Jessie Grow, other loving relatives, nieces, nephews, and many good friends.
Throughout much of his life, Tom had been a landscape grading contractor. He was also known as “Captain Tom”, the owner and operator of the MV Emerald Isle tour boat in Milwaukee. Tom brought much enjoyment to so many people through his love for life as the Captain and tour guide of his vessel. Longtime member of Operating Engineering #139.
A Wake will be held on Wednesday, October 2, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feerick Funeral Home, 2025 E. Capitol Dr., Shorewood, WI 53211, with a service honoring Tom’s life at 5:00 PM. Interment will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tom’s name may be made to the Wisconsin Humane Society (Ozaukee Campus), 630 West Dekora Street, Saukville, WI 53080.
