Dear Friends and Family,

John Cargni was a very special friend to me. We were in high school together, and in the military in Alaska during the Korean War. We stayed in touch since then, and in the last year or two we talked on the telephone every week or two. It was on the occasion of one of those calls that I learned that he had passed away.
It was one of the saddest moments of my life.

My wife and I visited John and his wonderful wife Melita back in 2002 at...

Words fall short when one has to say how sorry they are for the loss of a loved one.
The only true statement that comes close is John was loved and appreciated by almost everyone he came in contact with.
He was a kind man with a gentle heart!!!
I will miss him very much.

We had John here at Gresham dialysis. He was a wonderful person and always made us laugh. John will be missed by us all. We know how much he loved his family and his beloved Bernese Mountain dog. Our deepest condolences to his friends and family.

My fond memories of Uncle John date back to early childhood, and lunches at Grandma Cargni's house. I would wait in the window until the Cargni Janitorial van pulled up, and then it was time to play "hide and seek" from Uncle John. It never took him long to find me.

Uncle John even helped me negotiate the purchase of my first car.

In 1996, my husband (Bob Heade) and I were in the market to find a house in the Mt. Hood area. We made an offer on the house next door to...
