I found a Christmas card from years ago and looked online to see if I could find your address. That's when I found this notice. So sorry to read this but I remember the guitar playing from when we stayed with you during our first days at Multnomah. What a spiritually centered family you were in our lives. After two years once John going home, I still often think of him and the great instruction of his weekly Bible study. IT was a great time of learning Biblical theology and awesome fellowship with the men in his class. I will never forget those days and will always benefit from John´s teaching.

We miss his laughter, his wit, his interest in us and life around him, his smoking of delicious smelling food, his pure joy of being alive, and just plain having him as such a wonderful person and neighbor.

I had a deep appreciation and respect for John. I attended a bible study with a group of men for 3 years. It was definitely a college level training course on the Word of God. I learned things there I could not have found anywhere else. Much of my understanding of the Word and the Person of God is due to his commitment to teaching us all at that class. I will always treasure the time I spent learning from John.
He is now enjoying the heavenly presence of our Lord. We remain and are...
