Not sure what to say?

To the Family of Mr. John R. Carney, MD,

The membership of American Legion Post #234 in Hart, Michigan, would like to share our deepest sympathy with your family on your loss. Dr. Carney’s service to our country makes him a hero as far as we’re concerned and certainly you’re very proud of him, too. We want you to know that his brothers and sisters in arms now share in your grief.

Warmest Regards and God bless you all.

Mark R. Parrish, Commander

Condolences to the Carney family. Dr. John was our family physician and a friend to our family for decades. He and Ruth were held in high esteem for their commitment to medical care in our community. My late father, Harold, and I have many fond memories of playing golf with Dr. John and his son, John, at Lincoln HIlls Golf Coursed where Dr. John was known as a fiery competitor. I only knew Dr. John as the man we went to many times to receive medical treatment and the man who often came out...

I was sorry to hear of Dr John's passing but what a wonderful life! I was in a terrible accident on M116 late one night in 1969 with my cousin and two friends - it made the front page of the LDN - and Dr Carney and Dr Castellani took great care of us and were so kind to us mashed up teenagers. I will always remember it with much gratitude.

Dear Jim and Jennifer,

I was so sorry to read of the passing of Dr. John. No doubt about it, both he and his first wife, Dr. Ruth, especially were icons in Ludington, Mason County, and beyond. It is not surprising when someone so elderly passes but there is still the human factor of sorrow at such loss! My prayers for comfort are with you at this sad time.

Lovingly,
Ruth

Dear Judge John and Patricia,

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. John Carney, without a doubt, an icon of Ludington and Mason County. Even when years are very late in one's life, there is still the human factor and sorrow of loss. Truly, his was a life well spent!

Ruth Babbitt

Dr. John and Dr. Ruth were true blessings to the Mason County community. Heaven has gained two wonderful Angels. For all their work, may they rest in peace. And, thank you from a truly appreciative community.

Sadly one of the best doctors has passed. He not only delivered me in 1951, he also saved my life as an infant that developed pneumonia. Forever loved by my parents. As an adult he took great care of me. Ruth deliver my son. I miss them both but death is inevitable. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. Dr. John Rest In Peace, you have earned it.
