Bud & I met John when he and Liz started dating. He embraced Liz´s friends easily and we became fast friends. While I was also a cyclist, I could never keep up with John. John & Liz were generous with their ideas & suggestions on how to improve our home before we were able to hire an architect. We will miss John very much. Julie Levinson-Gabis

I will always remember John´s laugh and "laid back" style. I enjoyed getting better acquainted with John, Liz, and Francis at a resort in North Carolina. We laughed a lot.

When John moved to Bham and living a block from each other, we became fast friends starting in the 2nd grade together. We played various sports from YMCA and Jr. High basketball to Little League baseball on the same teams. Then High School in the same Chi Sig fraternity. Years later, it's been great getting to see each other again through Mountie Men and Chi Sig lunches. You will be greatly missed. RIP my friend.

What a beautiful tribute to John! Have known John from "way back", mainly through school. Was aware of his talents... but certainly not all of them! He will be missed.
