Not sure what to say?

His family´s Christmas cards are still being talked about decades later.

Dr Carson and I first "met" when I worked for the La Jolla Answering Service when I was attending University of San Diego State as a nursing major. In 1976, I was hired at Scripps Memorial Hospital and was pleased to share some patients with him. After several years working elsewhere, I attended UCLA to obtain my Masters degree in Nursing and my Nurse Practitioner. I ended up employed by a Scripps physician and practiced for 22 years where we again shared many patients. Dr Carson has remained...

My sister and I grew up knowing the Carson family and looking forward to seeing them at Mohonk in the summer. I was delighted to reconnect with Dr. and Mrs. Carson a few years ago when they came to visit the library at which I work. Full of fascinating stories and interested in such a variety of topics, Dr. Carson was a joy to talk with. Above all he was a devoted husband and father and a very kind and caring man. I'm so glad I knew him. Love and deepest condolences to Mrs. Carson and all the...

It was a privilege to know the great Dr. John Carson both as an emergency physician and as my father's doctor. As an emergency physician, there is a predictable annoyance when waking a specialist in the middle of the night. However, never with John. He would come in cheerful and impeccably dressed regardless of the hour. It was always such a delight to see him. And it was a joy to witness such old-fashioned dedication to his patients so kind and thorough. If a patient was old and infirmed...

Dr. Carson was my Dr for 25 years and was not only taking care of me and my husband, but showed concern for my family, who he had never met, and the problems we were dealing with at the time. His gentle nature and compassion was comforting and caring. His bed side manner, which unfortunately does not exist in today's world, made it difficult it to replace him. Rest In Peace my friend and to your family we too feel your loss

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May prayers strengthen you and memories comfort you, and may our Lord Jesus Christ and God our Father, who loves us, comfort your hearts and "make you firm". (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17)

My deepest condolences for the loss of your loved one. May you find comfort in the promise of God found at 1 Peter 5:6,7

Our entire family was saddened to hear of Dr. Carson's passing. He was a kind and gentle soul and helped tremendously through our father's final years. I imagine they are comparing notes even now. Our hearts reach out to you as you mourn this loss.

Dear Carson Family,
We Orloffs send our condolences and shared grief. We lost our mother, Ann Orloff, on the very same day that your father/grandfather/husband/friend John died. Our father, Marshall (who passed away in November 2018) knew and loved John as a fellow resident at Penn. Dr. Carson was such an amazing role model, colleague, and friend. Our families shared the last 50+ years of life in La Jolla and we are so sad to see the passing of a hero and a member of a unique generation....
