Not sure what to say?

I just heard of mr. Carter's homegoing, my condolences go out to the carter family. May the lord bless & keep the Carter family.

I was happy to Know you loving father good friend rest in piece.

I remember my sister and I traveling to as many cities as we could in the 70's to see the Dell's perform We were called groupies. Johnny had the best voice. I remember being in one of the clubs where the Dell's were performing along with the 3 Degrees. I was singing along with the 3 Degrees and Johnny told me that I had a good backup singing voice. That was one of the best compliment I've every received.

Farewell Johnny. I will miss you.

september 20,2009 Let it be known that my heart does out to the family the Carter's we are so saddened as I myself somewhat grew up with mu own Dells. His brther "big steve " we all were together as kids as The Dells came over to my aunts basement to rehearse the the made it "big stay in my corner' then they moved on. My kids all of them were just crazy about the dalls.he

My heart is broken. Johnny and I will always be together as we have been since 1969. The love we had stays on my mind. Gods protecting arms hold all of us. Forever my love, SKILA

I am writing this from Detroit. I became acquanited with Mr. Carter's extraordinary talent as a toddler. My mother played The Dells so much that I knew the words to their hits as soon as I could talk. When I became an adult, I took her to every Dells concert held in Detroit, most recently in the summer of 2007. Mr. Cart'er's voice and range were magical, as smooth as silk, and unrivaled.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. We will miss him, too.

My prayers and thoughts go out to the family of the late Johnny Carter. I had the opportunity of knowing and seeing Johnny on a number of occasions due to him being a very close friend to members of the Lovelace family.

I know losing a loved one hurts but just remember God has a bigger and mightier plan for Johnny!

Again God Bless!

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
