John J. Carvelli, 83, of New Windsor, New York, an employee of the Highway Department in New York City before his retirement, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, New York, on Friday, October 3, 2003. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 6, 2003, 3-5 and 7-9 p.m., at Coloni Funeral Home, Route 9 W, New Windsor. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, October 7, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Church, New Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to a charity of the donor's choosing.
