It's been 35-30 years since he was a part of my life but i remember him as though it were yesterday. I loved him like a father and fondly remember his smile. I would leave notes in his lunchbox for work and I hope it made him smile because it made me smile writing them.

So saddened to learn of Jerome's passing. Tho I am a bit younger than he, I remember the farming and the great corn the Cato farm produced. Jerome was as usual working the farm. My brothers were closer to Jerome's age, that's Ed and Ken, Sis Pat was next and I attended school with Jim and Cliff, but will always remember Jerome as a big brother also. We lived between the Wilkerson Dairy and Joe Powell, and to us, The Hughes Family, that was the best of times when everybody knew and loved...
