Not sure what to say?

My Godfather, John Chakalos, brought great joy to me growing up.
He was chosen by my parents to be my godfather as a good luck charm before he went to the Pacific front during WW 11.
At Christmas time, he was the person who bought me the “manly” gifts such as an Erector set, Lionel Trains, Bow and Arrow, etc.
He was a brilliant businessman and a true inspiration.

I am so saddened by this loss for you all. I was out of state and not able to attend this wake. My heartfelt love and prayers go out to you all. I have so many wonderful childhood memories with your family. I hope that as each day passes your memories can ease the pain of your loss. His spirit lives on in each of you.

I truly feel privileged to have known John. It's a shame more people didn't have that chance. John was generous and deeply caring, and he set a shining example for me and everyone else to follow. My sincere sympathies to his family, friends, and associates.

Sally and I extend our deepest sympathy to the Chokolas family at this time of your loss. John was a great neighbor for many years on Overlook Dr. We are vacationing in Florida and will be unable to attend any of your services.

Valerie, Elaine, Linda & Charlene,

I had the good fortune and pleasure to meet dad as he walked by our house on a warm October day, shortly before Halloween. He joked with me about the small lawn mower I was using to take care of a bigger than average yard. I explained to him that I had just recently retired and needed to stay busy while keeping in shape. Dad said that I was too young to retire and yet he could have done so years ago if so moved. When I shared with him that it was...

With deepest sympathy during your time of mourning.

Valerie and family,

I am sorry for the loss of both of your mother and father. Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

May his memory be eternal.

From your loving Godson Louis J Matsikas of Reston VA
I will never forget the joy you would bring me as a child at Christmas ( purchased from his very hard work he did at Hartford Hospital)
May God bless his Family,,, RIP
