I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Chakides was my very first supervisor when I began working for the government in 1977. He was a wonderful "boss" and taught me so much. He was truly a great person.

He was a great person, a true Christian & will be sorely missed by all throughout the Charleston Community and especially by his lovely family & the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. I feel humbled & honored to have known John for many, many years. I also worked with John at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and he helped many, many people there, including me.
