Not sure what to say?

I met your mom and dad in 1956/57; after high school graduation, I went to work at Commerce Loan where your Dad worked. Years later June and I played tennis together at Catalina Terrace for many years. What fun we had. They were such good and loving people.

In deepest sympathy,
Helen Markes

June was one of the first people I met when I came to Blenman to teach 6th grade in 1980. My boyfriend, Skip, helped me move in to my room, just across the hall from June. He passed away a few days later. June really helped me out during that trying time. Your mother had the most beautiful eyes and lovely voice. She was a master teacher in all ways...and she touched the lives of so many children. We had a lot of good laughs together at Blenman. I'm sorry that I didn't know John as...

Dear Chris, Joni, Rick and Suzi-

The care and compassion that your dad gave to your mom during her long illness was so touching. He showed us all what true love really is. What an amazing husband and a beautiful couple! I have always had so much repsect for both of them.

I pray that the fact they are "renewed" and together will give all of you a lot of comfort during this difficult time.

Lots and Lots of Love-
Adrian (Huerta) Murphy

my condolences to johns family. john was one of the nicest and good man i have met in my life.he is now at the big golf course in the sky.

I saw your Dad about a year ago in Trader Joe's. He told me of your Mother's illness. We also talked about my loss of Mike in 2006 (we were married for 48 years - knew each other for 53). I have such fond, fun memories of the 4 of us playing marathon doubles matches. June and I had great times on the tennis team for a number of years. We persevered until we dropped down to our level of competence - then went on to the regionals. What laughs we had together.

You are in...

I am stunned to learn of Alice and John's passing together, yet can't imagine a more wonderful way to go than with a loved one. Even though it's been years since we played tennis and swam together with our families at Catalina Terrace, I would often see John at Randolph Golf Course and we would speak of the old days. Please know my memories of them hold a special place in my heart.
