I am just now seeing this and my heart sank with sadness. I knew John on the movie set of A Time to Kill when we put together the wrap party for the director and all I can say is ditto, "we need more John Chaney's in the world." He was one in a million, rock solid, salt of the earth, kind hearted man who would give you his shirt off his back if needed and just a dear, dear man. He loved his family and his community and truly lived and loved life. You will be missed my friend. Blessings to...

John Chaney stood tall in all ways of life.

I was sad to hear of John´s passing. Growing up in Zachary, I have fond memories of spending time at a few movie sets as a teen after John contacted me to utilize my wagon horse Blaize for a few of the movies that he was involved with.
