I met John when he worked at Ashley Bakery years ago. I often gave him a ride home from work. John was so loved by all of us, as he loved us just as deeply. John had the most engaging personality and that laugh. He would just have everyone hugging him, acknowledging him when he would walk into our place after his left Ashley Bakery. JJ affectionately called me Auntie. His parents and my parents were dear friends. The family joined us for the annual Christmas sharing of gifts and breakfast representing the Morris Street Baptist family. JJ was especially proud of his basketball skills and excelled in the sport.
