John Hunter Chavanne

I was in the class ahead of John, DLS `58. I was down from Canada for some DeLaSalle gathering and met John some 50 years later and told him of my memories of him playing as a junior on that State Championship team in the late winter of `58. He was truly a skilled athlete. From the obituary, I noted our common interest in Catholic education, as I became the founding principal of now St John Paul II Catholic Secondary School Toronto. Special prayers and great memories of all the years that John was a both a friend and donor as well as a dedicated helper to all of us at St. Mary's Dominican College for many years. We all appreciated his kind and helpful service for so many years. Our prayers for him and for Bonnie too at this time. Can never repay for all his kindness.
