John Chetlain, Chainer, Chet, idiot, Scooby, Godfather,Uncle,Brother,Friend,

I was in Artondale the year I met Johnation Chetlain. My life would change. In the years to follow the relationship furthered past friends to brother sister. There was nothing you couldn’t say to him, always with a look in the eye or the smile that gave you peace. In all the good and bad there he was waiting with the “I love you man” That was a given for John, always took the ones he held near and let...

Went out to see graveside last week and was so moved to see the headmarker that the boys are sharing. It is a beautiful place, may they rest in peace.

Dear Chet, Donna, and all of the wonderful Chetlain family-
I just learned of John's passing in September, and am at a loss for words. He was simply fantastic! I can see him so clearly as a little boy, and as a handsome, grown man. My prayers are with you all, and while I know this will be an especially difficult Christmas, I hope that the meaning of this joyous season, coupled with your deep faith and so many memories, will uphold you, guard you, and give you peace.

A former classmate at Lake Oswego High School, Bob Graham e-mailed me the following message....thanks Bob.
"Robert C Graham November 2 at 10:29pm - Just heard from Gloria Hornback about the loss of your brother. Wanted to give my condolences for your loss. He looked young and vibrant and I know this is truly sad for you and your family. Very Sincerely Bob Graham"

Wow, I just found out. I am so sad to hear about my good friend. My heart hurts for his family and all of his friends. My relationship with John over the years is one I will treasure. I love you John, Deanna Carr

Dear Chet, Donna and Girls,
Lee and I want you to know that we share with you the loss of John. So much potential gone. We always enjoyed his good humor and lively conversations about politics and religion. We'll always appreciate his sharing his family on the holidays. You are good people and you all did your best for John. We'll all miss him in the days to come but we know he's walking with God.

Art & Donna Sorry for your loss. It was a very special day yesterday in remembrance of John, we were honored to be included. He will be dearly missed by us and all of his friends and I am sure that he had many.

Love, Peace, and Prayers

Damon & Yvette

To John's Family,

It seems like only yesterday the "4" Musketeers were over at my home, all for one and all for one! John, Chris, Dave and Karen.

They looked out for each other from Artondale Elementary, Goodman Middle, Peninsula High School and Gig Harbor High School.

In Goodman Karen wanted to go to a dance and who showed up at the door---no other than John. They both looked so nice and had a great time!

Several times a year John would call and...
