Not sure what to say?

"Men, football is like life, it´s not IF your going to get knocked down, it´s what you do when you get up." Coach 1973 I was coaching my son´s 12 year old football team when I heard Coach was gone. I stopped practice and repeated every life lesson Coach taught me so long ago. I hope he lives on in those young men. I know he lives on in me. Matt Varnum #51

MR. CHIRONNA WAS ONE OF THE FINEST MEN I HAVE EVERY MET HE MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE IN MY YEARS AT MHS HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED MY LOVE TO MRS. C AND JIMMY AND FRANKIE LOVE SALBO

I was given a gift to have been taught by a man with selflessness…...thank you for that. My hope is that I can pass the same virtues on to my children. Rest in peace coach as you have your disciples teaching, not only football, but the fundamentals of life. If we can be half as good as you were, the world will be a better place. God bless the Chironna family

I was so sorry to hear of Coach Chironna's passing. He was a great influence to many of us at MHS, both on and off the football field. I had the distinct pleasure of being in Coach Chironna's English class one year, and he was tough but very fair. My heart goes out to the whole family during this time. Coach John Chironna will be sorely missed by many. God bless you, Coach Chironna, and your whole family.

Coach Chironna was one of the great ones. I remember him like it was yesterday. I remember the cave. With all of the film and play books. You felt special being allowed in there. Football was the best thing I did in H.S.
Coach inspired so many people.
He always had time to talk and help however he could.
My sympathies to his family.

To the Chironna family my deepest sympathies. "Coach" Chironna was one of the toughest person you ever want to meet. That only made his deep affection for you all the better. "Coach" would look you dead in the eye and ask you before the game " are you ready" and you were. Because besides your team mates you didn't want to let "coach" down. He was the best there was and ever will be at M.H.S. Rest in peace "coach". class of 75

My deepest sympathies to the Chironna family. "Coach" was one of the toughest and most caring man I have ever met in my life. When he looked you dead in the eye before the game and asked you are you ready. There wasn't a doubt that you were. Besides your teamates you didn't want to let "Coach" down. "Coach" was the best there was and ever will be at M.H.S. Thank you "coach". Rest in peace.

My sincerest sympathies to the Chironna family. Coach Chironna always had a smile and something nice to say- in the halls of MHS and also years later whenever I would run into him as well.
My husband, Peter, was a neighbor of yours (and a classmate of your son when you used to live on Tabor Road..he lived on James Street).
Coach...thanks for all the nice memories and the great things you did for all of us MHS students. May you rest in peace.

Dear Mrs. Chironna and Fellas:
I was the worst player on Coach's best team. There have only been a few people who have changed my life, Coach Chirrona is an MVP on that team! Special thanks to you for sharing your great man with so many of us for so many years.
