Though I did not know his name at the time, my mother and I had the great joy of encountering Mr. Clayton as we were waiting for lab work at St. Thomas Hospital. He brought about many laughs and lightenned our day and our hearts. When I saw the name and face, I kept thinking that I knew him from somewhere. After reading his obituary, I remembered that day and the offers to dance (him dancing), and the rather distinctive bright clothing, but classy of course. I can still hear his laugh and his voice!

Mr. Clayton was a dear man who blessed strangers at St. Thomas (I do not know if he was officially volunteering that day or not!) last year, and he was certainly not to be forgotten. How wonderful if we all could leave such a favorable impression. My condolences to his family and to all whose lives he touched. The world certainly was a better place for Mr. Clayton having been a part of it.
