John was a great coach! I have been playing or coaching football for 32 years. Jon helped me develop a love for a game that would pay for my college and lead to a life long career. As well as two sons who would go on to be involved in the game. Jon kept up with me my entire life after I played for him. I recall him making it to a few college games, and also stopping by when I was in town to talk ball. I am forever grateful for him. John also tutored me in algebra as a struggling 9th grader...

Played for Coach Cleaver for years ,I am Chris's age we played together as well baseball, basketball hearing this is sad but knowing he is no longer suffering and with the lord makes it easier to bear. God bless his family prayer's for all affected.
