Tom Codd and I joined the Navy in 1952, trained as Radiomen on the same base, served at sea in the same fleet at the same time, but never met. John, thanks for sharing with me your loving recollections of your Dad. The remarkable similarity in our history brings me closer to you and your family, You have my deepest sympathy.

I remember growing up in the 1940s our family (the Cecils) would always visit the Codd family at Aunt Mary's and JT as we called him would always be there along with his older brothers and sisters. There were 7 children in our family too and we cousins always had so much fun together. I have so many happy memories of those days and really miss them. Our deepest condolences to all of the Codd family.

Although I did not know Tom personally , I and was saddened I read of his passing, Tom and I are distant cousins from the Duke family. I knew his brother Jim Codd and met his mother Mary A. Duke Codd in the 1980's . Please accept my sincere sympathy . Tom and his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
