Still miss John and still speak of him often with one of his old partner, Ray Kisor. I did many ride alongs with John over the years and spoke of his past and service in the Navy, as a rear gunner in the Curtiss SB2C Hell Diver. The big problem, John was so tall he had a hard time closing the canopy. I think I was the first one that took John for a flight in a small private aircraft and after his retirement he went on to earn his private pilots license. John, I will tip one for you...

So long John, I am going to miss our phone conversations every other week about the "old times". You were a great friend for over fifty years, I will miss you.

Sorry to hear of Johns passing. He was a great guy. Last time I saw him I vs with him in the nursing facility in Camillus. My brother was a good friend also (Don Thompson) My deepest condolences.

My deepest sympathy to all - its been many years since I have been back to Syracuse but I still think of the good times we had. Mr. Cody was always larger than life to all of us.
