I met John at his track. He had no idea who I was, as all I knew he was the owner of the track. But he seen my enthusiasm for riding bikes and offered me a job watering the track on race days. It was like winning the lottery. I loved it. From there he moved me up to the finish line flagger. Come to find out we are 3rd or 4th cousins. John always had a smile and was so humble and kind.
