Not sure what to say?

I received an alumni magazine this morning, and was shocked to see John's name listed under "In Memoriam." I didn't know John very well, but I remembered the blonde, gangly, long-limbed high school freshman from Worcester (and his ENORMOUS glasses). He joined the AV Club, and shadowed me for about a week to learn how to use the projectors and cameras. He was a gem of a kid. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I only recently met John and did not have the opportunity to know him well, but it was clear to me that John Collins was a good, good man blessed with many talents and devoted to his family. His joy at becoming a father to both a daughter and a son was contagious. The loss of John is hard to comprehend. I am so, so sorry for the pain each of you is experiencing and the heaviness in your hearts and souls.

Dear Dick, Judy, and family,
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers as you face the days ahead. John was a wonderful little boy, and you must be very proud of the young man he became. Our love to all of you and his beautiful young wife and family. Jim and Vicki Conley

Dear Pete and the entire Collins family....we were shocked to learn of your brother's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathies. We think of you often and pray that all your happy memories will help you through this most difficult time. Linda and Myron Katz (Mike's mom and dad).

Dear Dick & Judy - We were saddened and shocked to learn of the recent passing of John. I have such fond memories watching John grow up from a student at Bancroft through his senior year at Milton. He would often come into Mechanics Bank to visit his Dad with his quiet demeanor, but always having that mischevious twinkle in his eyes. Our sincere condolences go out to you as his parents and of course to Peter and Katie. Always remeber the good times and how proud you were to be his parents!...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
