He left a beautiful legacy in his daughter Wendy and her family!

Jack was a great help to me in Wapet/Gorgon in making sure we had top quality well trained drilling personnel.

We have all lost a great friend.

I worked with Jack briefly in the late 1960's and enjoyed a great relationship. I extend my condolences to the family and friends.

Jack and I started with Calco about the same time and I have very fond memories of him. One is the time he helped me move our meager
belongings to the Barataria camp. Another is the time we stayed at your
camp on the White River. He was a good friend and I regret
that we haven't been in touch in recent years. May God's peace and
comfort be yours during these difficult days.

I feel honored to have known and worked for Jack Combes. He was a legend within Chevron and the oil industry, and had such a positive impact on so many people’s lives and careers. But more importantly, he was a wonderful person that will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Combes family.

We have been out of town and only recently learned of Jack's death. We feel honored to have known such a fine person and are thankful that he passed through our lives. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

In my career I faced a few, very difficult days; one was a major blowout in the mid-eighties. Jack's expertise and calmness were exceptional contributions to a high stress interval. My appreciation for Jack grew from that incident as he provided trusted council while I was in Angola at a time of turmoil.

I am grateful to have known such a fine person and offer my most sincere sympathies to his family
