I am so sorry to hear of Colonel Compton's passing. It was an honor to have interviewed him for my book & then go on to have a friendship with him & Mrs. Compton. We have truly lost an American hero of the greatest generation. I will fondly remember all our visits for the rest of my life. My thoughts & prayers are with all the Compton family.
