Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about this so late in the game. I knew John when he was an Electronic Technician in the Air Force back in 1975. He was a great guy and we had fun working on KC-135 Tanker aircraft at the 305th Air Refueling Wing in Kokomo, Indiana. I'm happy to see he realized he could do better things and moved on to become a pilot. I also knew Ronda and I think the last time I saw her she was changing the diaper on their first born!

We flew A-10s together at England AFB as young Lieutenants. Great friend, pilot, and family man. So sad to hear about his passing. My thoughts and prayers to those he left behind.

I'm far out of the loop just hearing of "Conley" passing. It's a testament, though, to his incredible leadership / mentorship that even eight years hence I wish to express what an incredible impact his dedicated service to our great Republic, especially the USAF fighter pilot community and most particularly to myself as Conley was one who taught me the most right before I would need it the most. Godspeed, Sir.

I remember card parties we went to as a kid at John and Rhonda's house. Such kind and generous people who I could tell loved having their friends and family around. I remember feeling very sad for my dad when he lost one of his best friends. I've heard some funny stories about those two posing as professional photographers at Speedway, and getting to go around the track on a practice day. What fun!

Rhonda & family,

Sorry to hear about Conley. He was a great man and officer...Best Commander I ever had. I still tell stories of my days in the 70th at Moody...my best assignment!

Thoughts & prayers...

John and I were good friends and served together 305th Air Refueling wing 30th AMS. Saddened to hear of his passing. God be with him. Breaks my heart. Jim

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your Dad, John. My heart is heavy for you, Angie, and his amazing grandchildren! We had some great times with your Dad and Mom. Please let your Mom know that she is in our prayers. Your Dad will truly be missed. I love you all!

He was my friend for 47 years. We went to alot of races together and took lots of racecar and plane photos. And Mexican food was always on the agenda.
Diane and I will miss him. Loved our times together.

Jerry spoke for both of us from the heart. John will always be "Alf" to me because of his surprise birthday party we had in July with Alf décor. He was surprised that we thought his birthday was in July but we knew since his birthday was Dec 25 he probably never had a real party....he was quick to point out that his initials were JC as well. Great guy...with a great family...especially Rhonda...our thoughts and prayers are with you girl. Sending lots of love.
