Not sure what to say?

I was one of Professor Connells students at Akron U. I just found out of his passing yesterday, I wish I could have made it to the funeral. I am so glad to have known him and had the privilege of being his student. He always had time for his students, even if it meant meeting them at McDonalds on a Saturday morning! I was so glad that I went to the Irish festival to see him sing and play, I will never forget him. I just graduated in December THANKS to Professor Connell! God Bless all his...

Marlene,
I am sorry to hear of John's passing. I am sorry I don't get a paper so I missed the services. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time. He will be missed at the all the functions at the AOH.

I just heard of John's passing this morning, and I am deeply saddened. John was one of the first Teachers I worked with at Lakeland College, I will miss his big heart and incredible sense of humor, along with his smile and positive attitude towards life. Everyone who came across John, will walk away a better person. My prayers go out to all John's family. He is now singing in heaven.

Marlene and John's relatives and friends,

I was so shocked to find out this morning about John's passing (alas too late to come to the wake or funeral). John was my friend and my colleague at Lakeland Community College. I talked to John all the time at Lakeland and I was lucky to see him play and sing on numerous occasions. He had the sweetest voice and was a wonderful button box player and guitarist.Even greater than his musical skills was his humanity and goodness and his deep...

Marlene,
I cannot tell you how sorry I am to hear of the loss of your beloved John.

I know that there is little I can say to lessen your grief; but I'd like you to know you and your family have my deepest sympathy.
