I have fond and happy childhood memories of him at family get togethers on Sunday evenings and Christmas time. Although I have not seen him in a number of years, I have always felt that he had a profound influence in my decision to join him as a "brother" in the Knights of Columbus fraternal organization.

Jay Connick was my Grandfather, he will be sadly missed. Grandpaw, as we all called him, looked at the world different than most people, "always keep your head up" he told me once, and I'll never forget it, not until the day I die.
