John F. Connolly

As the year anniversary comes of his passing, I was very saddened to see this news. I have such great memories of Fr John, he was a great friend to our family and he will be missed. I will always hold a special place in my heart for him.

Beginning in my adolescent years I knew John and his family. They lived two houses away on Mercer Street in Albany. He and his family appear in the recently released 1950 US Census. His mother was a wonderful person; I last saw her in the 1960's. She told me at that time that he had joined the Catholic Priesthood.

Thank you Father for being there for me and my family during my high school years. Thank you for your guidance and kindness and thank you for having confidence in me at a time when I virtually had none in myself. I owe you debt of gratitude that can never be paid.

Your passions were many! We are delighted that we were able to share some of them with you through the years. With love always!

David and I will miss you dearly. Not only were we neighbors, but you were my husband's best friend. Like I always said, John and David, "two peas in a pod", "both cut from the same cloth". Our hearts are sadden...until we meet again John. With love and thanks Katherine Foster
