Not sure what to say?

Fr..John F.Conner..a great guy, told good jokes, all were well told He was a Sophia Loren fan.I got to know him in the mid 1960 s.He was there when my Dad passed. His sermons had a theme....keep growing. I lost touch ,but never forgot especially .during my own difficult times. He drove a Volvo, and liked a taste of the Old Sod.,but never got sloppy....He helped many ....Eddie Hosie...He is a cool guy...I'm a better person for having known Him

We remember Fr. Connor from Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Maplewood. My mother, brother and I worked at Bingo every Wednesday night, and Fr. Connor was there to make sure things ran smoothly. The 60s were turbulent times for the Catholic Church in general, but Father remained a good and faithful servant. We were sorry to see him leave for another assignment. He was gone from IHM but not forgotten. Rest in peace, Father.

Our sincere condolences to the family.

My husband and I were always happy when Fr. Jack said mass and gave the homily. His amazing insight, worldly wisdom, and deep knowledge of theology and the 'human condition' of our world were so refreshing when he spoke to us from the pulpit. He will be greatly missed at St. Barnabas.

R.I.P Father Connor, I remember you on My Church St. Cecilia's Church of Kearny and very dedicated Priest. my Condolences to the Family and friends I keep you and family in my prayers.

Father Jack, my cousin on my Mom, MaryJane Nunn's side of the family, was a wonderful support to me and my son during a challenging time in my religious life. Although I did not see him often, I loved him and valued his counsel. I will miss him.

A very special priest, and cousin. Very dedicated to his extended family. He is in the arms of his Lord for his reward.

Reverend John F. Connor was a very close family friend, many times he would come over to our house on Headley Terrace in Irvington NJ for dinner. His close friends called him Jack, he was our priest at Immaculate Heart of Mary in Maplewood. I spent much time at his home in Bayville NJ fishing and boating. He will truly be missed. I will keep you in my prayers. Rest in Peace
Father Connor.
