Not sure what to say?

Dr. Conrad was such a dear man and lived next door to my parents for many many years. He will be missed and I will always remember him helping my father when my mother was ill. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Kathy Van Cleave (Cafaro)

Dr. Conrad was loved and respected by my entire family. He was our neighbor, doctor and christian friend. He saved my baby brother from double pneumonia 56 years ago. The Gaynor family will always hold him in our hearts.

I remember Dr. Conrad from my years at VCH -1969-74. If ever he had a bad day, it was known only to him. Upbeat, jovial and happy to see everyone he met was what you could expect, be it late at night or early in the morning. I remember his fondness for a pipe as well as a good cigar, and his excitment when describing his first Tiger Cruise aboard the ship his son captained.

He will be missed but he will not be forgotten.

Dr. Conrad was my pediatrician and my mother also worked at the Pediatric Group. I used to stop by the office to "check in" on my way home from school. Many times Dr. Conrad would see me, pick me up and throw me over his shoulder and run up and down the hall with me. Many years later I was ever so proud to take my newborn in to him as a patient. He was a kind, funny and gentle man. My condolences to his family and friends...keep your memories close to your heart.

A good man, a gentle man, a wonderful doctor. I have to agree with another entry.....Dr. Conrad never made new parents feel silly for asking questions. He must have answered many of the same questions thousands and thousands of times but every parent was treated as if they were the first to ever question him about something. He touched many lives, including mine and my daughter's. My sincere condolences to his family.

In 1955, my son, Bruce Caputo, was rushed to Valley Children's Hospital, to be diagnosed with Polio. It was our good fortune to have Dr. Conrad and his associate, Dr. Caffee, treat him, and by the grace of God and these two great doctors, Bruce returned home completely well!. My family will always be grateful. Beverley Lewis

Jack was a wonderful expample of what a physician, a man, and a Christian is supposed to be; he will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace

Dr.Conrad has always had a special place in my heart. 37 years ago he saved my precious newborn baby boy's life. He was so thoughtful and caring and never considered a new Mom's questions silly. I can truly say that I loved that man. By the way, the baby he saved went on to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and is a successful husband and father of his own baby girl today. Thank you, Dr. Conrad.

During my 40 years as a pediatrician in Fresno, I always admired and looked up to Jack, my peer.
