Not sure what to say?

John Cook was a wonderful neighbor. He loved to play with words and was quick witted and funny. He kept up with current events and had sophisticated opinions about everything. He could also be quite stubborn. My family will miss him and our hearts go out to his family.

I have so many happy memories of Mr. Cook. Many of my happiest memories of childhood were spent in his home with he, Mrs. Cook, Jennifer and "Kiffer". He was funny, generous, and always had an educated opinion.

I feel very fortunate that I was able to get to know Mr. Cook as I became an adult and I was able to appreciate him even more. I miss him and always will.

He kept us all on our toes and we loved it. When I was a child he inspired me to study harder. He was a keen observer of the world who gave a thoughtful and measured opinion. After adulthood he was part of my picture of "home." Growing up, our families shared holidays, summer BBQs, winter potlucks. John, Judy and "girls" are family and we will miss him very much.

What a brilliant, witty, kind, and sophisticated man he was. I am so sorry for your loss but so fortunate to have known him. I will cherish my many fond memories of him and your family.
