Not sure what to say?

Elsa,

So sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Cooke. I remember talks my grandmother and I regarding your father as they both were school mates at Lee Jackson and both shared a love of history. Mr. Cooke was such a honorable man who loved his county and his country. He will be missed greatly. My condolences to the rest of the Cooke family. Keeping all of you in my prayers.

Elsa,
May the cherished memories of your father's devotion to his family, community, and nation give you and the entire family great comfort. May you also experience God's presence and peace during this time of great loss.

With genuine sympathy and prayers,

Dear Elsa, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this sad time in your life. I also lost my father (Graham Brooks)a few years back, and I know the pain of such a loss. Your father was a very dedicated, honorable, and kind man. I remember when I used to come over to your home and we'd play between your home and Irvinville (where my Aunt Nora Taylor) lived back in the late 1950's, early 60's. I also remember you from our school years as a very kind person. May the good...

I am thinking about you all during this time of loss. Mr. Cooke was always so kind to me, whenever and where ever he saw me. He was kind to my children and always so helpful. As a gentleman, he was the best of the best. Sending you kind memories and sincere support. Fondly and Sincerely, Lucy Tiller

Elsa,
I sincerely loved your Dad. I enjoyed so much sitting in his office at the Gazette Journal and talking about old times in the General Assembly of Virginia. He was my hero. He was Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Patrick Henry all rolled into one. He was, indeed, a true Gentleman. All of Virginia respected him. He should have been and would have been the Greatest Governor that this State ever had.
Sincerely,
Former Delegate Shirley Cooper
