It is hard to believe that 10 years have past,
since you drew a breathe and exhaled your last.
Not a day goes by that you are not in my thoughts,
for the sacrifices you made and the war you fought.
You are my hero and always have been,
but, this was a battle that you could not win.
Because today, January 15th, is the day the IED blew,

Today, I ran in honor of SGT. Cooper, I run with wear blue: run to remember. Each Saturday morning we honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice,and to serve a living memorial. Though I never knew you, you & your family are in my thoughts and prayers and will never be forgotten.

It has been 4 years and my life has never been the same. You are forever in my heart...
