Dearest Jan and family,
I was shocked to hear about the passing of John thru our prayer request emails at church. I was not in church that day, as I am in Denver helping out my daughter with her new baby, who was born on Johns birthday, this year. I am so sad for your loss and you have been in my prayers daily.
Prayerfully,
Toni Smith

We were so sorry to hear about John. Jim has had the pleasure to talk with him over the last 12 years since we moved from Tahoe to San Juan Island, they shared a love of sailing. We will always remember his welcoming smile, he will be missed by so many from far and near. Our sincerest condolences to Jan, Katie and Lauren. .Jim & Janis Betts

Jan and family, John was in high school one year ahead of me. I enjoyed our light hearted friendship with him during that time. From college on, our paths never crossed again. Only through the friendship of his sister Valerie. Reading his obituary confirms the young man I new then. He was sincere, fun loving and kind. I'm so glad he built such a wonderful life with the likes of a beautiful family. My deepest condolences for your loss. Joan McClure Kuchta
