Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to learn of Johns passing. John was a long time friend of my family, all police officers in Evanston. John welcomed me to his security force where I worked part-time for him for over ten years. I enjoyed listening to all the old cop stories he could tell so well. Good man, good cop, good boss, good friend.

Linda---I was saddened to read of the loss of your father. He was an outstanding man and a wonderful member of the community. Best wishes and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.

My sincere sympathy, Phyllis, on the loss of your husband, John. Prayers for you and your family.

Dear Phyllis,
My deep sympathies to and your dear family. Knowing John over 40 years brings back memories of a fine gentleman with great character and capability who will be missed by many outside your family. I recently lost my wife Astrid after 66 years and have walked in your foot steps.God bless and comfort you and your family at this difficult time.

Dear Phyllis and family,
We are so sorry to hear of John's passing and sorry we did not make it to the funeral. Your family has always been so dear to our family. Praise God John is now in a better place. Many prayers for you all as you mourn the loss of this dear beloved man. Love, Mike & Debbie Bischoff

Mrs. Cossarek & Family,

I am sorry for your loss. I am currently an officer with KPD and had the pleasure of meeting and seeing John on a couple occasions. I also worked with his daughter Diane many years ago at a Bank in Northfield. My heart goes out to you all and you are in my prayers.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

We just can't believe such a wonderful and kind man has passed. We have enjoyed almost 20 years of being neighbors and have had many wonderful times over the years to share good times as well as face challenges. John was a giant of a man and attacked life with gusto and passion. His love of dogs and animals is well known to all. He always had a good word for everyone and my late husand, Ed Corboy, Sr., always enjoyed his talks with John. The Cossareks are the best of people and we know...

We are thinking of all the Cossareks, but especially of Phyllis and Susie. We live too far away to have seen John often, but we liked him and respected him very much. We're glad that Mary was able to make the trip from Australia this summer. Families are so good to have. We send our love to Sue, Andy, Kevin, Alex, and Whitney. Kind thoughts and sympathy, especially to Phyllis, and to you all.
