Between the stories he told and the ever desire for learning and sharing John was indeed a wonderful person to talk to. I will never forget his (and Sean's) calming instructions in a small boat in Casco Bay Maine. Thank you John, Sarah, and Sean.

I was honored to call John Coyle my friend. He shared so many wonderful tales of his gifted life.(He called this his anti-dotage!) John approached life as if it were never-ending, always wanting to learn new skills, other languages, new science,etc. Thanks to daughter Sarah and Sean, he was able to live his final years in the home he loved. Thank you. You were lucky to have him as your dad.

John was invariably kind to his successors in OEG and Navy civilian ranks. His tales and insights inspired lots of us.
