Dear Lori, Candy, and Jack -- Was sorry to hear about your husband and father's death. It's been a while, but I remember him as a warm and kind person. It seems painful in a way, but "throwing off the mortal coil" somehow puts one in a better place I think. I believe that was the case for both my parents, who died of smoking-related illnesses in 1986 and 2003. I won't be able to make the funeral, but will be thinking of you.

Dear Mrs Crand and Family, I was a neighbor or yours on Ellis Road, daughter of Ed and Mary Gourinski at #17, I am so sorry to hear of your loss, John will always be remembered as a very kind and friendly man,I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven some day. My deepest sympathy goes out to you all.

Dearest Crand Family--My prayers are with you these days you must go through and for the days ahead that you'll have to "get use to" your father, brother, and husband, John, not being in your everyday activities. Many memories are with the Crand Chocolate Legacy--my mother, Jean Card, worked at The Castle in the mid-1950's, I worked there in the early 1970's, my sister, Beth Card, worked there in the early 1980's, and my son, Ross Card (who passed away 7/24/04 due to Type I diabeties...

DEAR MRS. CRAND...YOU WERE MY 3RD GRADE TEACHER MANY YEARS AGO AND I HAVE ALWAYS HAD THE FONDEST MEMORIES OF OUR TIME TOGETHER AT MARK TWAIN SCHOOL. MY HEARTFELT THOUGHTS GO OUT TO YOU AND CANDY.

Dear Loraine,
We were so sorry to read about John's death in the paper yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Loraine, if you have time while you're in Connecticut please give me a call at 860 633-5962. Love, Helen and George Christensen

Our deapest sympathy to the family. We miss you, Your Chocolate was the best, Your kindness the deepest

Lori, Candy and Jack, my deepest sympathy on your loss - I had hoped to be with you in Enfield but the logistics simply didn't work out. I am sure it will be a celebration and one that John will be enjoying from his pain free vantage point. His goodness is everyone's loss.
