Not sure what to say?

As a friend and former member of his band, I wish to convey the deepest sympathy and condolense to the family of Pipe Major John Crawley, who was devoted to his family, and constantly uplifted everyone around him with humor, respect and dignity. Neil Conway (Concord, Ohio)

Dear Alicia and family,

I never met you; however,my brother Bob and I were able to take lessons from Jack way back in 1960. I'll always remember the fine start he gave to each of us. What a teacher and a fine gentleman (gentle man) he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Laments are being played!

Warmly, Jean Carter Badger

To the Crawley Family,

We just learned of John's passing today. We met John though a mutal friend when we were looking for a bag piper for our Nieces Wedding back in 2001. He brought Joy and Tears on that day, when he marched them out of the church. We couldn't wait for John to play at our Daughters Wedding in 2006, John was unable to make it but your Son played, just like his Dad. What a Sweet and Kind Man. Please know he is in our prayers.

Crawley Family,

I am saddened to learn of John's passing. He indeed was a friend to me, and always had kind things to say. I'll remember his kindness, especially when my grandmother passed away and he attended the wake. I send my deepest condolences. He will truly be missed.

To the Crawley Family,
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy to ALL of you at this time. The suffering my Dad "Porky" went through and all those lasting memories came flooding back when we heard the news down in Hilton Head. We are so very sorry we missed everything as we just returned 7/5. We know the experience and the raw bittersweet emotions very well. John played "Going Home" on the pipes for my Father as we walked him to his resting place. May all the good John did for everyone, reward...

Alicia and family,
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing. I was not at the Funeral as I just found out about John. You know that I would not have missed being there. I remember John playing at Bill's funeal, Bill left us 12 years ago June 30th. My heart felt sympathy goes out to you and your children . I know how much he was loved by his family and friends. Alicia, please know that you are not alone , find comfort and strength in your wonderful family.

We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. He will truly be missed.
