John Cumbie will always be special to me. He was man of integrity and I was honored to be his friend. He loved his family and his friends. Mr John was a stewart of the land and pushed Berkeley County to new levels for all citizens to enjoy. If he asked you to come over for a ten minute ride be prepared to spend the day. He mentored me with all types of business deals and reminded me of my grandfather. Mr. John will be remembered for his love of his farms and his acute sensitivity to...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I was very sad to hear about your dad's passing. He was a wonderful man and I enjoyed working with him and all of you for so many years. He left quite a legacy and I am sure you all can continue it. It's never easy losing a loved one, but Gloria and I will pray for the Lord's peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Thoughts, prayers and condolences to the Cumbie Family of which I've known some of them since I was 10 years old. My heart is with y'all in this time of grief and sorrow. May your father Rest In Peace. Only met him a couple times in my young life, but I know he was a fine man.

My prayers goes out to the family he was a fine man who help me in my business in 1984 may he Rest In Peace Chill N Grill Cafe

When I was fourteen, John took me an two others to Darlington for the Southern 500 NASCAR race. We went into the pit area the race and looked at the cars. One of my favorite memories growing up. RIP friend. Bill Britt
