Not sure what to say?

Tricia- I am truly shocked & saddened to just hear the news of John. You were such wonderful neighbors/friends in Northfield. I ll never forget him running back to your house to get his camera to take Dave & my picture heading to the hospital to have David, after he had just taken the kids to the bus stop :) His wonderful food critiques when he, his bride and children went out to eat made always made me smile and the everyday "hi". Thoughts & prayers to you all, miss you guys.

I just read this and am so sorry to learn about John's passing. I sought information on the New Hampshire primary so OF COURSE I Googled "John Curran" for the best reporting! I worked with John as a reporter with The Press of Atlantic City in the mid-1990s and, as so many people have noted, he was the best! John was a great writer and a very prolific reporter. It always amazed me how much copy he churned out and it was all good! No matter what the story was, John always had a big smile and a...

Tricia, I was so devastated to learn of John's death. He whipped me into shape at my first job with the AP in West Virginia and brightened up the bureau in Boston, too. I really missed him when he went to Atlantic City -- and was happy to have him within shouting distance again in Vermont. He was the funniest guy I ever worked with, but also had integrity, common sense, and good advice. I can't imagine how much you and the kids must be hurting. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So very sorry to hear of your loss! You and your family are in our prayers at this time. Gail and Jay Bowers (Kate Corvine's sister and brother-in-law)

It was my pleasure to meet John, a respected member of the Press during my years as Press Committee co-chairman of The Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City. His patience, professionalism, questions were hallmarks of his job. I also recall his sense of fun as he demonstrated his prowess at juggling. John was foremost a family man- showing pictures and stories of his young family and even wrote articles about the travails of dining out with them. Goodbye John, you will be missed.

Such sad news from so far away! Johnny was always the little brother trying to keep up with Mark and Bobby. Although I don't know his family now--I will always have a smile on my face when I think of Johnny!

Our sincere condolences to the family of John Curran for their loss.

The folks from the old days, the 1990s, at the AC Press remember you, too, John. You were always the funnest guy in the room.

Our prayers, thoughts and love go out to Mary and your family. Please call on us for absolutely anything. Lilli Curtin and family.
