John CURTISS

I only met Mr. Curtiss once, three years ago at Thanksgiving in his home, and I remember well his courtesy, hospitality and warmth. It was a memorable occasion, and his home - right on the bay, with the water lapping up beside it - was beautiful. To learn that he was a hero was no surprise, but to learn of the great distinction he won was awesome. I send my deepest condolences to his family, and especially to my sister-in-law and John's daughter, Cindy. May God as always be hind to each...

I remember his passion for rowing as well. Ms. Curtiss, Mark and I will be thinking of you during this difficult time, and I am so happy that you have such a close and caring family to be with you!
