John P. D'Angelo

At my first day at John Audubon Elementary, John immediately made me feel welcome. He was a kind, generous, caring person that is missed by all at Audubon.

...starting a new job, scared out of my mind, leaving a new baby at home. John didn't just introduce himself, he comforted me and became an immediate friend. Audubon Elementary School will never be the same. He has touched so many lives, and made each one of us feel speical. It is so selfish of me to want him back here so badly. I know he is finally at peace! The second floor will never be the same!

The first day I stepped into Audubon, was the first day I met John. He immediately made me feel at home. There was not one day after that passed that he didn't stop by to make sure I was doing OK. The 2nd floor hall will forever be filled with the memory of Mr. D. glideing down the hall, coat flapping behind him,(and what seemed like a different tie every day in the years I spent with him), and his 4th grade gang behind him!!! My students and myself will surely miss his daily saying,...

John, you were a kind , trusting and wonderful man. You will be missed by your family, your many true lifelong friends and students. May you dwell in the house of the Lord forever and know true peace and love.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. John was very brave and fought very hard for many years. I will always remember him always being so happy. You are in my prayers.
