Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of working with Mr. D´Andrea at the Edison School in Westfield. He was an amazing person. An excellent and beloved educator and an even better friend. He took new teachers under his wing and he always had their back. After his retirement, he came back to our school several times to speak to our students about his experience as a military veteran and our gymnasium was renamed in his honor! Prayers for you and your family Mr. D. RIP my friend.

Mr. D'Andrea was a highly respected teacher and athletic trainer at Westfield High School. He was my driver education teacher. Everything he taught I took very seriously. He mentioned that the speed limit on Lambert's Mill Road was too high. Years later, when I was a Councilman in Westfield, I arranged for the speed limit on that road to be lowered, which reduced the number of accidents there. I extend my condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear of Mr. D´Andrea´s passing. I still remember driving white-knuckled on Rt 22 in driver ed with him and the help he gave me as an athletic trainer. I graduated from WHS in 1972. He was certainly a class act who influenced so many people.

John was a class act and offered so many of us mentoring, friendship and comedy. He was a true example of leadership and I will miss his love. Rest easy John- I am a better teacher because of you.

RIP in John..you will always be remembered by all the students you helped.

I also was taught by Mr. D'Adrea Drivers Education at Westfield, NJ High School. I think of him every time I safely merge into a highway entrance and still remember his easy smile, patience and sense of humor. I was Class of 1969, and he remains one of my brightest memories at WHS.

Mr. D'Andrea was the nicest man...taught me how to drive at WHS in 1972 when he doubled at the Driver's Ed teacher...had a lot of patience! RIP....Also had him for gym class too!

John gave me my first opportunity to teach physical education after graduating University of Miami and moving back to Westfield in the spring of 1981 after he had an injury teaching PE at Edison Jr High School! All my love and prayers to his family
