Not sure what to say?

To the family of Father Daley, may God bless you in this time of sorrow. I have known Father Daley since he arrived in Malden to become Pastor at St. Joseph's. He was always there for me, whether it was visiting me in the hospital, my sons First Communion, or the deaths of my parents. Father Daley was a frequent visitor of my dad, after he suffered a stroke. I visited him at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital a few weeks prior to his passing. He seemed to enjoy the visit and actually smiled a...

Fr. Daley was such an inspiration to us. It was always a pleasure to serve as he led, and an honor to listen to his messages of faith and servitude. He will be sorely missed. May his soul rest in peace. Our condolences to his family, may they find solace in the fact that he was an honorable man of great faith and was beloved.

Fr. Daley was a happy memory to all the Prendergast family. We all remember him from St. Mary's in Melrose when our father was the President of the Holy Name Society. He was there for our family when we lost our parents. Our prayers are with all his family and friends.

We will miss you Father Daley. Thanks for the faith that you have inspired in my family and myself.

We knew Fr. Daley from St. Joseph's Church in Malden. We will always remember Fr. Daley. To us, he was a saint. He was there for us when we needed him.

Our sincere condolences to Father Daley's family and friends. He was a wonderful priest and person; always there for you and the family. He knew the Dwyer's from Melrose well and pointed them all out during baptisms and communions for our children at St. Joseph's Church, Malden. When it was "Rut's" time, I called him to come to Melrose-Wakefield Hospital and he never hestitated and was there for him. May he rest in peace now and know he will be thoroughly missed by all those who knew him.

The Dwyer Family

If only they could make a movie of this man's life, and show it to all who aspire to the calling of religious life as an example of what one does in Holy Orders! Alas, a man of senses;devotion to God and his faith, his fellow man and of course, quite a fine sense of humor. As Good Saint Paul tells us, the race was well run and over, and after fighting the good fight, I am very certain that Father John has already heard the words, "Welcome, my good and faithful servant". Say a prayer for us...

Father Daley, We will miss your smiling face on Sunday mornings. You were a wonderful priest and we will always remember you. May God Bless You.
